Introduction
Leading violinist Sarah Chang’s Year-End Concert!
- “Ms. Chang was a wonder.
Her full, beautiful tone, unimpeachable intonation and restrained sincerity worked perfectly against the music around her.
One heard everything, and everything was worth hearing.” - - New York Times -
- “I thought Sarah Chang was the most wonderful, perfect, ideal violinist I had ever heard.”
- - Lord Yehudi Menuhin -
- “Sarah is… terrifying. I see her doing things that if I had studied for 150 years, I couldn’t do.
The simplicity with which she deals with the instrument is very unsettling.” - - Neville Marriner -
With a recital tour in 2019 and a sold-out tour with other virtuosi in 2022, her popularity is not waning but rather growing. This concert will be a reminder of why Sarah Chang is regarded as one of the greatest violinists in the world.
In this recital, Sarah Chang will be performing her signature style in a place of great meaning and value for her. Every time she performed in Korea, Chang arranged her program with Korean favorites and pieces that showcased her superlative technique in mind, and this performance will be no exception to her charismatic presence on stage.
As she has been focusing on collaborative and chamber music performances rather than recitals in the past years, this will be her first recital in five years, expected to be an unforgettable experience for her fans.
