Every creative team member, from the writers and directors to the cast and crew, has approached this work with deep thought and sensitivity.
Please note that the performance contains scenes involving trauma related to sexual harassment and those that directly or indirectly express themes such as self-harm and sex.

Introduction
ACC FUNNY
Kiki’s Borderline
Personality Disorder Diary
“This musical’s greatest virtue is its ability to remain uplifting and vibrant while addressing emotional struggles.”
-Chosun Ilbo-
“Audiences will walk away holding the ‘strength to take slow, steady steps forward’ with their two hands.”
-Dong-A Ilbo-
“A deeply moving story that empowers its audience to move forward, step by step, rather than promising an idealized future”
This performance handles the story of Kiki, the protagonist who is living with borderline personality disorder (BPD), learning to recognize and face the disorder with honesty and sincerity. Although there is no “silver bullet” for the disorder, Kiki’s story shows how Kiki comes to overcome the thought that Kiki is a lost case who hardly can muster enough strength to live for another day, understand oneself, and love a bit more and take steps, one at a time. Perhaps it is a story of us or of someone that we could love.
It was Arts Council Korea (ARKO)’s “Best New Performance” of 2023,
with sold-out performances in two weeks of its premiere!
“Kiki’s Borderline Personality Disorder Diary” is a critically acclaimed, well-crafted musical, developed with the production support from the Arts Council Korea (ARKO), venue support from the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), and international expansion support from the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS). Through a talk show–style format, this musical explores personality disorders—an issue that affects many people but remains rarely recognized and discussed in everyday life. “Kiki’s Borderline Personality Disorder Diary” was recognized for its artistic potential even from its conceptualization and was selected as the “Best New Performance” of the year in the musical category by ARKO in 2023. Immediately after its premiere, it received favorable reviews from the critics and the media, and it has been screened live at 11 CGV theaters nationwide and live streamed twice on Naver. Furthermore, it was selected for the “K-Musical Roadshow in London” and is preparing to expand into other scenes overseas after successfully completing its London showcase performance. “Kiki’s Borderline Personality Disorder Diary” is the story of Kiki, who is living with a personality disorder, a disorder that is often not talked about in mainstream performing arts despite being a significant issue in South Korea and around the world. Rather than relying on a simple narrative of overcoming or leading the story toward a tragic end, the musical shares the processes of facing and stepping forward from an issue that anyone could be living with honestly and sincerely.
Plot
“Kiki, we acknowledge your pain and your struggle with this disorder.”
Here is a talk concert, and today’s guest is Kiki, who begins their performance by greeting the audience.
Kiki shares that one day they realized they were living with borderline personality disorder (BPD). As a result, they started undergoing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
Kiki was admitted to a psychiatric clinic after breaking up with their partner of many years.
While there, Kiki meets a counselor named Ethan, who helps Kiki learn how to handle their personality disorder.
With Ethan’s guidance, Kiki begins a new job and enters a new relationship, but still struggles to confront their pain without evading it.

After completing their DBT, Kiki meets the family members of other people living with BPD in a BPD workshop.
During this workshop, Kiki realizes how vital it is to have support and recognition from loved ones, prompting them to reach out to their mother.
Kiki’s mother, however, does not acknowledge that Kiki is living with BPD.
Kiki and their mother, thus, begin their counseling session in tears.

Now, after five years of DBT, Kiki stands before the audience once again and says,
“I’m not completely over my BPD, but I no longer hate myself.
No, I’m working on that, even now.”
With six talented and charming actors playing nearly 30 roles,
the cast delivers a performance that transcends traditional definitions of gender or age.
