About
듣기의 미래
2023 Special Lecture by ACC Sound Lab <Futures of Listening: City> is a public lecture on “Workshop on the City and Soundscape” led by ACC Sound Lab and Residency.

This program asks what kind of changes will be made in the way we listen in the future, looking at “how we have listened in the past, and how we listen in the present.” This pushes us to imagine the future with a new concept of how we listen. The city in particular reflects human society. We can learn more about modern civilization by understanding and analyzing its structure. Different sound environments show the difference in auditory perception of urban residents, while deeply affecting people’s personalities, artistic expression, and cultural features.

This program intends to look into the crossing point between the “city” and “sound.” This will create a new perspective of the sounds around us that we experience in our daily lives.

How have we listened in the past, and how do we listen in the present?
The way we listen may be more than a natural act, but one that is easily controlled through special methods, powers, or purposes. Let’s see how this can affect humanity in the way people listen decades from now and imagine the future of auditory art.
