The KT Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Lee Taek-ju and featuring a core group of mid-level Korean musicians, will play a performance of great depth and complexity, and in his role as the concert guide, pianist Kim Yong-bae will ensure that listeners of all experience levels enjoy the performance.

Performers



After returning to Korea in 1986, at which time his first recital earned him the title "Musician of the Month," he has since given numerous recitals and concerts with prominent orchestras in Seoul and other regions. In addition, the Korean Association of Art Critics Awards named him the "Best Artist of 1988." He served as a professor at Chugye University for the Arts beginning in 1990 and as president of the Seoul Arts Center for three years beginning in 2004. He is currently a visiting professor at Ewha Women’s University and an emeritus professor at Chugye University for the Arts.

He had early success, taking first place at contests such as the Busan Music Competition, the Music Association of Korea Competition, and the Seoul Scholarship Music Competition, as well as numerous international awards, including first place at the American Protégé International Competition, attesting to his extraordinary skill.
As an orchestral musician, he was the leader of the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, the leader of the National Repertory Orchestra, a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, a substitute member of the New World Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra.
His ongoing performance activities include concert tours celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance (Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, and Ford Amphitheater), and collaborations with the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Michigan State University Concert Orchestra, the Lars Ensemble, the Korail Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Cello Orchestra, the Chungbuk Philharmonic Orchestra, and the KT Symphony Orchestra.
He is currently the leader of the Chungbuk Philharmonic Orchestra, a member of the Seoul Piri Ensemble, an adjunct professor at Dongduk Women's University, and an instructor at Sungshin Women's University, Seokyeong University, and the Gifted and Talented Academy at the Seoul Arts Center.

After beginning her career with success at competitions like the Hankook Children's Daily Music Competition and the Ewha & Kyunghyang Music Competition, she first gained widespread attention after taking first place at the Dong-A Music Competition while still a student at Seoul Arts High School. She has since won accolades at competitions both at home and abroad such as the Nanpa Music Competition, KBS New Artist Music Competition, Chosun Ilbo Debut Concert, Manhattan School of Music Concerto Competition, and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra Competition, among others.
She performed as a soloist with the Daegu Symphony Orchestra at the 2005 Symphony Festival and on stages all over the world, and collaborated with many of the best orchestras in Korea and beyond, including the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra (2006 Seoul Arts Center Symphony Festival), KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra, Cheonan Philharmonic Orchestra, Chungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Gangnam Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music Orchestra, and Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. She continuously communicates with audiences through recitals and chamber music performances and is firmly establishing herself as a performer with invitations to a number of festivals, such as the solo recital at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and the chamber music festival at the Seoul Arts Center. As a guest artist, she is currently performing with the Korean Symphony, Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and Chungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
She is a professor in the Department of Music at Chonnam National University and works tirelessly to inspire the next generation as a member of the Festival Ensemble, Avec Trio, and The Ensemble.

Feb

Renowned choreographer Yoon Jeon-il aspires to create performances that are both artistic and popular, with works that are sincere and move people's hearts. Through a gala performance with commentary, the audience, who recognizes that ballet is difficult to master as it requires elegance and artistry, is shown the process of becoming a ballerina or ballerino.
Classical ballet, creative ballet, and modern dance will all be represented, and the audience will get to witness the challenging and rewarding moments of young children who have just started ballet training on their way to becoming professionals.



Jo will use her intimate commentary to delve into the colorful spectrum of sound that harmonizes other instruments and string instruments in this performance featuring a piano and string quartet.

With Koo's uniquely warm performance and sweet vocals, the performance will present a romantic moment under the theme of "Romantic Violin."

It is a piano performance accompanied by the organ and harpsichord, both of which were used by Bach. By transforming Bach's traditionally solemn music into a dance song, the performance will stir the audience's heart and imagination.
